Mission-Go stop a Civil War on Onderon

The shuttle landed and the soldiers lined up to welcome the Jedi, Rade Darillian, and his Padawan, Kaas Zhyber. Rade walked through the soldiers and they welcomed him. "Welcome back General Rade and Commander Kaas." "Thank you it is good to be back. Now lets get thsi ship moving." Rade said. He turned to Kaas. "Okay when Jedi are in military action a Jedi Knight is given the rank General and a Padawan is given the Rank Commander. Understand?" He asked his padawn. "Got it good, okay lets go to the command deck." Rade said walking away.

Kaas straightened, and walked tall, trying to portray a good leader to the military. He nodded to those few who snapped a few crisp salutes to him, but kept silent and to himself most of the times, only asking questions when he thought it would be ok. "Master Rade, When will my training begin," he asked, impatient to begin his training as a Jedi.

Rade turned. "We will begin as soon as I meet with the Line-Captain Verrack." Rade said. He walked onto the Command deck and saw the Captain. "Verrack, my good friend." Rade said. "Ahh Jedi Rade, it is good to see you." Said the young Mon Calamarian. "So we are to go to Onderon." Said Rade. "Yes and I just got word from Cpt. Castin Harth." He is leading a fleet to meet us and aid in the defense of your homeplanet." Verrack said. "That is good. Oh and this is my padawan, Kaas Zhyber." Said Rade. "Hello young Jedi." Verrack said sticking out his hand to greet the Jedi.

Kaas takes Verrack's hand, Happy to meet a Ship Captain. "It is good to meet you, Captain Verrack," Replied Kaas in a polite manner, bowing his head. "I am happy to know that I will be safe on my first journey off-world." Kaas commented. Verrack laughed and asked, "What makes you say that?"

"My master trusts you, as do i," replied Kaas. The Mon Calamarian laughed ecstatically, then looked at Rade. "This one's a keeper, Old friend," he said. Verrack noticed the lightsaber hanging from the padawan's utility belt. "Already made his lightsaber? You must be in a real hurry, ey, ol' General?" asked Verrack

Rade smiled. "Yes well I think if a Jedi doesn't have a lightsaber then he is practically naked." Rade said. Rade then walked over to the computers where Officers where looking on screens. "So I cna intrust the rest to you Captain?" Rade said. Verrack nodded and saluted Rade.

Rade left the command deck leading Kaas to a training room for Jedi who are on the ship. "Okay Kaas, I am going to tell you a lot, I want you to pay attention." Rade said. He breathed deeply and started. "Okay, this is "Ever Light" A Jedi Security Ship. It is used to protect planets and keep the sith away. Ok first I will teach you lightsaber combat, The form Shii-Cho is a style I will teach you. It is a basic style and it is learned by every youngling, something you did not have the luxury of being." He said taking a breath. "Then I will teach you basic force powers, the Core Powers of Telekenisis, Force Speed, Force Jump and Force Push and pull." He finished. "So are you ready?" Rade asked igniting his lightsaber the Cyan blade came out.

"As ready as I'll ever be," he replied, taking off the Brown cloak, and throwing it to the side. He unhooked his saber, ignited violet blade, and, with two hands, held it over his head. Something in him told him to take the high guard instead of the low or medium guard. He widened his stance a little bit, with his left foot leading, bent his knees slightly, and faced his master. Let's do this! he thought excitedly. "Master, if you don't mind, i would like to learn the basics of 'Guard' before proceeding to attack." he asked his master.

Rade looked intently at him. "Very good, I see you hold your lightsaber high. Your stance is good." Rade said. He looked at him and said "Okay well the key to gaurding is to predict where you enemy is going to attack. Say if i were to swing here." He swung his lightsaber soflty to Kaas' legs. "You would block it there." He said as Kaas instictivly parried the attack.

Kaas brought his lightsaber back to high guard, and shifted his feet a little closer together; not so close as to he would stumble if he moved from side to side, but close enough to add some speed to his movement. "So its all about prediction....knowing your enemy...while attacking..." he swung softly at Rade, "Is all about being unpredictable....making your enemy think....right?" he asked, getting to understand the whole concept.

Rade nodded as he blocked his Padawans attack. "Yes, you got it, but like you said sometimes the unexcpected occurs." He said as he drew another lightsaber from under his cloak. The blade ignited and two Cyan blades where shinning in the training room. Rade started to swing both blades at Kaas.

Speed. Kaas needed to maintain speed, precision and posture if he wished to maintain his position. He brought his lightsaber around, causing purple and blue energy to collide with a sound similar to that of shattering glass. There's no way i can get an attack through this onslaught! he thought, trying to devise a plan where he could get a counter. He noticed it. It was very quick. After every clash with his master's left saber, there was a moment where his arm would shake with the collision; possible from recent injuries. Gotta take advantage... he thought. He brought His purple blade around to the right, colliding blades, and shifted a little towards Rade's right. As the two blade's collided, Kaas took advantage of the momentary lapse in posture. He jumped forward, using his shoulder to ram Rade backwards, then followed up with a slash at Rade's neck. His master parried the blow, but looked at him with praise.

"very good Kaas, but as you realize I am older and much more experienced with you I am merely toying with you. Now I do not mean to insult you I am just merely reminding you of this before you get in over your head. I do not want you doing anything foolish on Onderon." Rade said to his young Padawan Learner. "But lets see if you can handle this." He said useing force jump. He jumped and flipped over Kaas, he then used force speed and Rade was now running circles around Kaas. He waited for the chance to attack. He saw his opening and cut and did a 90 degree turn and spun sending his blade in his left at Kaas' followed by his right.

Kaas could only try to parry the blows his master sent at him with a surprising speed. I can't take this much longer, he thought, thinking quickly. Then he realized it. His master was taller than he, and his strikes were high. Being inexperienced with the blade; so much so that he would have not stood much of a chance against a youngling; he realized that he had one option. To drop low. And he did. He may have not been that experienced with swordplay, but brawling was a whole new story. Being on the street for seven years taught him that.

He stuck his leg out, tripping Rade, then jumping on top of the rolling man, pinning his arms to the ground with his knee's, holding his blade to the man's throat. "I may not know that much of about the blade, but brawling is my thing he said with a twinkle in his eyes; forgetting his master's years of experience with combat.

Rade laughed. "But you forgot one thing." He said as he used his force push to send Kaas into the ceiling of the ship. Kaas fell to the ground hard. "You did very good, but you will find that fighting a force user is different from fighting others. A Jedi, or Sith has so many weapons they can use besides their lightsabers." Rade said standing up and helping Kaas up. Rade retracted his blades and clipped them to his belt. "Now I want you to practice on this remote. Block the lasers." Rade said. The remote started to float and rotate.

Rade coughed as he stood, doubled over. "B-block the lasers?" he managed between gasps of air, wondering how he was supposed to do that so soon. He walked to where his lightsaber lay on the ground. "As you wish master," he replied, igniting the violet blade, and standing with the blade in his signature high gaurd (similar to many knights of the crusades, if your wondering what i mean, or when anikan and dooku fought for the first time in the clone wars)

(OOC: I know what a High gaurd is)

The remote then started to fire lasers rapidly at kaas.

Kaas had barely anytime to blink. The remote fired rapidly at him. He was hit multiple times the the laser bolts, sending shoots of electricity through his body, making him jolt this way and that. He brought his saber up through winces and blocked a few, but still missing the majority. "M-master!....Please! T-turn the sp-speed down!" He asked frantically, knowing he was not ready for that rapidness.

Rade looked at the remote. "Oh I am terribly sorry, It was set on my speed." Rade said laughing. He looked at Kaas he didn't seem to be smiling. "Okay there we go." He said as the remote started to shoot a blast every 10 seconds instead of the 2.5 seconds for himself.

Kaas took a deep breath, and deflected the first bolt easily. "Thank you!" he said in exasperation. As the bolts would shoot out just as random as before, but giving him more time to ready his guard in between, Kaas deflected more and more of the bolts, letting only a few slip past. He concentrated enough to start guessing where the bolts would come from, as his master had stated about prediction. As he continued to deflect the bolts, his master watched him.

Rade nodded and then put a helmet on Kaas. "Now deflect the bolts." Rade said. The helmet was a starfighter helmet that had the eyes blocked and disabled the wearers vision.

"How?!" he asked in doubt and bewilderment as the bolts hit him no matter how wildly he swung his saber. "Whats the tr-trick!?" he asked, getting hit by a bolt.

"You must use the Force Kaas." Rade said with a stern voice. He walked around the side and stood next to Kaas. "Predict, and block." He said. "Its that simple." Rade finished. Rade walked over and sat down in a seat.

Kaas nodded, causing the helmet to jiggle on his head a bit. Despite being hit by a bolt every ten seconds, he calmed his self, and relaxed, entering his conscious state of mind. Finding the nob, he pressed it, releasing it into his physical state. And he could see. He could see more clearer than when he was looking through his eyes. he could even precisely predict the spot at which the blasts would shoot out. He easily brought his blade up in seemingly slow motion, and deflected the slow moving bolts with no problem. He smiled to himself, hoping that his master approved.

Rade smiled "Good, good!" Rade said with a loud voice. Some other Jedi walked in, a Knight named Zak Trigit. "Hello Rade Darillian." The jedi said. "Good evening Zak, and you are good." Rade said in reply. "I am fine. I am glad to accompany such an amazing swordsman on this mission, I feel safe just knowing you are here." He said estaticly. "Thank you, This is my padawan, Kaas Zhyber." Rade said to Zak.

Kaas tried to lift the visor off of his head to greet his new fellow jedi, but Rade gently pushed it back down with the force. "Hello....Master....." greeted Zak in between deflections. "Master Rade, How do i turn this thing off?" he asked, going fancy with a spin out of a bolt's way.

"Here." Rade said using the force to turn it off. It fell to the ground hard with a thump. Rade then walked over and said. "Take the helmet off and we are going to go over some basic force powers." Rade said. He walked over to the end of the duel area and set up some items. He walked back over to Kaas. "First is Force Push." Rade said using the power to knock over a box at the end. "Next is force pull." He said using the power to pull the box forward. "Now is force jump." He said using the force to push himself high off the ground. "And then force speed." Rade said using the force to propel him through the room at amazing speeds. He set up all the boxes and turned to him. "Okay Kaas, now your turn."
