Background History
At the age of Seven, his parents and grandparents died of a brief epidemic that caused severe brain damage and heart failure. Devastated and left with nowhere to go, Kaas took the streets as a beggar, trying to stay away from the others who would most definitely cause him harm for no reason. Kaas became street-smart, learning how to fight or talk his way out of a situation if things started to get dirty.

Years later, on the front steps of the Jedi Temple on Ossus, Kaas met the Jedi Master Rade Darillian. Rade questioned him, then told him that he had the force in him. Kaas was awestruck, and, to his disbelief, his life was changed for the better when Rade asked him to accompany him to a meeting with the council, and requested that Kaas accompany him and become his apprentice.

Kaas was astounded and ecstatic. He, of course said that he would be more than willing to, and Rade showed him where he would be staying in the temple, and, even before going through training, supplied him with the parts for his first lightsaber. His first Mission is on Onderon with his master.
