The start of a War

Raith blocked a few more shots and then they got to the wall. His men, himself, and the warlord's men leaned against the wall while the people who carried the bomb started to set the bomb up. Raith watched them as they did this, a smirk went across his face. In a matter of seconds the wall would have a hole in it and they would be in the city and then to the palace. The men shouted "We are done!" and Raith turned to the people against the wall. "Move back! Move back!" He shouted pointing away from the wall. "Get to a distance where you will not be crushed by the rubble." He started to run while the bomb started to beep. All the people around him did the same and they ran to a safe distance and watched as the loud sound echoed through the air and the explosion made a hole in the wall. He waited for the dust to settle and then he could see inside the city he pointed to the hole and yelled "Forward! Lets us take the city by force! Leave none alive!" He laughed as all the men around him took off to the hole.

Trira did not recognized what happened next. Adrenalin had reached her blood and all she could think of now was getting into the city and starting to kill. She heared everybody running away, then the explosion and then the start of running towards the hole. Trira was one of the first who ran there. She wanted to get inside as fast as she could. She saw her master on her right side, but he did not seemed to want this fight. Trira asked her why, but she knew he would fight. She also hoped he would defend her if she really needed help. Now it was not far to the wall. Only some meters.

Rade saw the Sith and the opposing Onderonians. Rade contacted his padawan on his commlink. "Kaas, they have broken through the wall. Be ready." He said. He put the commlink back on his belt and took a defensive stance. The rest of the men raised their rifles. Rade then yelled "Open fire!" Suddently the red lasers started to zip by Rade's head and body. Rade saw Sith soldiers falling and Onderonians fall as well. Lets make this quick. Rade thought.

Kaas picked up the comlink, and said "Roger that, Master." He put the comlink down, and thought hard. There's gotta be a way to make those barricades last longer, he thought. "Master. How can i make our barricades last longer?" he asked in desperation as the throes of battle shook the floor under where he was standing.

Raith stood facing the whole ad looking as his sith force users, warriors, and the warlord's men stormed through the hole and he heard cries, shots, and shouts as they started to fight. A smirk went across his now hooded face, so he could be in secret as he went to the palace. Raith put his blade back in his light saber and slowly walked through the hole and looked around the area. There were red blasts coming from every angle, the ones shot at him he held out his hand and blocked it using the force. He stood there looking all around for a way to get to the palace. Raith grumbled to himself when he found there was no way, he would make a way for himself instead.

Trira thought about not much any more. She killed many of the people which stood in her way. Further and further she got through the lines of the enemy. She had lost sight of her master some time ago. She asked herself if he was also fighting as hard as she was or if he was standing anywhere. But she did everything which was in her might to make her master proud. She hoped that he would teach her much more after that battle. The shouts around her got louder the longer the battle lasted. She also did not knew anymore where she was exactly. Fast she killed an enemy that had tried to stab her from behind. Fast she turned around herself to see where the others were. But she had not much time to find out if there was somebody near whom she knew. But she found her master, he was a little bit behind her and also fought very hard. Then she again concentrated only on her fights, and forgot the dying around her.

Rade ran through and got caught in a duel with a Sith warrior. The red blade was illuminating. Rade ran in a full sprint and jumped he did a spin and one of his lightsabers hit the blade and moved his protection and the second lightsaber came down and hit the sith. He fell to the ground lifeless. Rade then saw a Sith woman fighting, he ran at her sensing that she was the leaders apprentice. Rade reached the Sith and called out. "Sith, where is your master."

Kaas shuddered as the feeling of the Sith got stronger and stronger. The echoes of the battle were louder than before, but the Castle seemed an eerie quiet. "Guards...." he called out, motioning for the four guards at the doors. "All of you....guard the royal family with your life. Let nothing happen to them.." he said in a commanding tone. He then turned to the king, and asked politely. "Your Highness...is there a secret passageway or anything leading to any means of escape in this room?" He asked. The king, who was scared speechless shook his head no. Kaas' shoulders slumped in defeat. He took a deep breath, and put his comlink in the princess's hand. "If anything goes awry, call Rade." he instructed, then turned towards the door. He pressed the red button on his lightsaber, and the violet energy blade ignited with a snap-hiss!. I WILL make my master proud. he told himself, then walked out into the quiet hall, accompanied by the humming of his blade. The feeling of the Dark presence grew stronger, and seemed to be traveling towards him.

Raith found a way to get past the line of men shooting at his own army and the sounds of light sabers and was now safely walking in the empty streets of the capital city. All the civilians must be hiding from any harm, Raith laughed the thought of them being able to hide from him was somewhat funny. He looked right and left to make sure no one followed, or was watching him. He sensed nothing, no movement for this moment the empty streets were at peace. The faint blaster shots and screams faded away as he continued to make turns in the streets of the city. Then in his eye sight was the palace, there the king would be waiting for this war to be over and hoping no one will get in his home. Raith was now facing the palace of the city and he heard some shouts from guards and they pointed their blasters at them. Raith looked then up and down, they were not the royal family's guards they must have been recruited and asked the guard the palace. 'Those poor fools.' Raith though as he walked past them with his right hand in the air and a blue colored lighting was shooting out and shocking the men. Raith lowered his hand when he heard the last body hit the ground and did not even bother to look back. He had other plans, dealing with simple recruits is not one of them, but the ones that he did have those plans were about to come true. He was getting closer to the palace, the feeling of something inside the building hit him. There was a Jedi in there.

Trira turned her head as the Jedi got nearer. She had an evil blink in her eyes. "I will tell you nothing.", she said to him and held her lightsaber high. She felt that he was a master, but she would fight against him as long as she could. She would let him away without trying to defeat him. She saw her master, shocked as she stood in front of the jedi. He ran towards them, but he would not reach Trira and the jedi before Trira started to attack.

Rade shook his head in disbelief, he was going to try and save the young girl. But he had no choice his job as a Jedi Guardian is to remove Sith from the Galaxy. Rade then spun his lightsabers and started to sprint at the sith. "You are mine." Rade said.

Kaas mentally and physically forced himself to erase emotion. This feeling of darkness...this Entity seemed to be feeding off all of his fear and all of his past anger. He forced himself to forget about what those emotions were. Its coming...I can feel it.. he thought. He breathed deeply, listening to the humming of his violet blade.

Raith looked up at the palace doors, they were grand and decorated. He laughed to himself and then moved back and shot his hands out sending force blasting against the door. It moved a little bit and Raith continued to hit the door with the force, after a while there was a big enough gap for him to go through and he slid through the gap and looked around the entrance hall. There was a Jedi here, Raith could sense him. He started to walk down the entrance area and then looked around wondering where the throne room may be. He would look there for starters and if the king was not there he would look in every room if it was needed. Raith was going to walk down a hall when he sensed someone near by, he quickly took out his light saber and the blade shot out in a matter of seconds. "I know you are here Jedi, I can sense it. The good in you, the wanting to do something for the king but knowing you can't. I also sense fear, you are scared Jedi I can feel it flowing through you." He laughed loudly and got in a defense position.

Trira looked at the jedi and laughed. If he thought he could defeat her so easily, he would find out it was not like that. The first thing she always used to was just stepping out of the way. Most enemies did not expected that from her, even less from a sith. Then she normally stabbed her lightsaber at the chest of this person. She was sure this would not help against a jedi, but she tried it.

Rade saw the sith step to the side as he got closer. Rade then saw the red blade coming for his chest. Rade jumped and did a flip over the blade. He landed behind her and got ready to strike at the sith. He did a downward slash at the sith with his right.

Kaas swallowed his anger at the sith's little test to draw him in, not wanting to let the sith gain power from him. He jumped off the top balcony where he was hiding, and ignited his blade just as he brought it down in an overhead slash. "So....this is the thing i have sworn to clear the galaxy of as a jedi today," he said aloud as the sith expertly parried the blow and allowed him to jump back.

Raith smirked when he heard the sound of a lightsaber he faced the Jedi and held up his lightsaber to block the attack. When the Jedi jumped back Raith looked at him up and down and noticed something. "You are a new Jedi, a padawan. They got a new recruit to the Order to guard the royal family?!" He laughed a bit and then held in the rest, "I could kill you in just two moves, but I wont. I want you to suffer, that will be a great experience on your first day." He removed his hood and his facial expressions changed to an furious one, the blade went back in the lightsaber and he hooked it to his belt and then he shouted. "I will show you suffering and pain Jedi! I will show it to you!" He held his hands out and then sent the lighting at the Jedi in a long and continous shock.

As the lightning sailed through the air at Kaas chest, Kaas knew he was not fast enough to evade it. Nor could he jump to a corner, or behind anything. Their was one thing he could do. Instinctively, he threw the violet blade in front of him.

There was a loud Khriss! sound as the lightning and the energy blade collided in an almost blinding flash. The white of the two seperate energies combining almost seared Kaas' face as he was sent sliding backwards a few feet, trying to hold up against a master of the Dark Force's power."Erggh!!!" he grunted in exertion, pushing with all his strength. Must Hold my own against this guy! he thought.

Then an Idea came to him. The Force! he thought, focusing on the little knob in the back of his mind. He let the force flow through him, then reached out with one hand, secluded by the light, and used the force to pick up a statue behind the sith master. Using the force, he did the same thing he did in his momentary training. He puled it towards himself. it flew noiselessly through the air at the sith's head.

Raith watched at the lighting hit the Jedi and Raith laughed evily. This was going to be simple, it was like this jedi has had no training. He could just kill him off, but no he would make this Jedi suffer so much that he would want to leave the order. There was also another option, kill him. That just was not that much fun though, this is fun making them suffer. Raith took out his light saber when the Jedi slid across the floor and he got in a defense pose. Raith was watching the Jedi, trying to predict his moves it was easy Raith could read him like a book.

Then the Jedi made the statue behind Raith fall, he sensed it but was not fast enough to move out of the way. When he did the statue hit him in the shoulder and he fell on the ground. He picked himself up and glared at the Jedi, he would pay for that. He focused on the same statue and lifted it up, turned it horizontally and sent it at the Jedi hoping to knock him out and pin him against the wall.

Kaas had to act fast. As the statue sailed towards him, he switched hands on the hilt of his lightsaber, and stuck his now free hand out, reaching even further with the force. There was another statue nearer to him, and he used the force to pull it towards him again, positioning it so that the statue the sith had sent at him hit the newly placed statue, only causing each to clatter noisily to the ground. As it fell, Kaas swept the blade of his lightsaber, cutting the head of the statue off clean. Kaas sent it as fast as he could, with the smoldering side headed at Raith. He knew getting close to the sith would be disastrous.

Trira turned fast to her enemy and blocked the attack in time. Happily she breathed out. She made a move to hit the head of the jedi, but then suddenly changed the direction and tried to hit the feet. Meanwhile she was thinking what she had seen from her master. He had never taught her to use the force, she knew she had to do it on her own. But first she had to get a little bit away of the jedi. Her only problem was that she had sworn herself not to flee from an enemy. That ment she had to try to push away the jedi.

Rade blocked the attacks. He then saw that she was going to do some force attack. Being a higher ability than her the attack won't do much but if he doesn't block it still should knock him back a few steps. Rade got into a defensive stance with one lightsaber paralell to the ground and the other in a strike position above his head. "Bring it on Sith. Show me what you got." Rade said sarcastically.

Trira looked fast around. Other fighters were very near. So Trira saw her chance to get this jedi a little bit away. She hoped that the next thing she was going to do was not so well known by the jedi. Trira jumped and landed on the shoulders of another fighter. He stepped a little bit backwards, but that was everything. Then Trira rushed fast from one fighter to the other, gaining speed and when she thought she was ready, she pushed off the shoulders of one fighter. It seemed like she was flying towards the jedi, her lightsaber in front of her. While she had been on the shoulders, she had thought what she had seen from her master. She could remember something, but did not knew what would happen. While moving towards the jedi, she was still thinking and she took out her second light saber, to put it into a defencive position.

Rade saw the Sith coming toward him. He got ready and he decided he would attack before she got the chance. He quickly ran and lunged out swinging his lightsaber. He hit the hilt of the Sith's lightsaber. The two halves fell to the ground. "Aw man, I missed. I was aiming for your hand." He said in a sarcastic voice.

Castin Harth, the captain of a capital ship looked through the glass on the bridge. The Sith fleet had finally made its way around the planet. Cpt. Castin turned to his officers. "Pre-pare the fleet for combat." He commanded, the Officers saluted and went on there way. The space battle for Onderon was starting.

Raith moved back to watch the Jedi block his statue with another and then send the head of one of them straight at Raith. Laughter filled the room as he was watching this and then at the right moment before it was going to hit him. Raith jumped in the air, over the statues and Kaas and landed safely on the other side of the room. He was not facing Kaas' back and was ready to cause some pain. He extended his hands agian and then did something different. Something red was coming out of Kaas' back and floating into Raith's hands. He just used the dark side of the force skill called force drain, it would drain the strength and give it to the user. Raith smirked and then lighting took the place of the red stuff as it shot out of his hands and at the Jedi. With him now weak the lighting should make him weaker or finish him off so Raith can continue to mission.
